Pop art Make up Tutorial

This is a very popular look online so i thought i would recreate it as simple as possible :)

Products i used:
Rimmel london lipstick by kate moss in 02,
Rimmel london 9 in 1 BB cream,
Seventeens deep red lip gloss,
Maybellines eye eraser concealer,
Rimmel london clear complexion transparent powder,
Rimmel london exaggerate black eyeliner pencil,
Real techniques stippling brush,
Maybelline Ney Yorks gel eyeliner in black,
Collection luscious lashes,
Benefit They're real mascara,
Benifit cheek tint,
Lasting perfection concealer,
Benefit pore professional primer,
Rimmel london white pencil eyeliner
Faber castell water colour pencils

1. Time to get started, above is my oh my goodness i have no make up on face! First take your concealer and conceal any under eye circles and blemishes. Then take your BB cream and dot over your face and blend in with your stippling brush.

2.  Now with a shade of concealer that's lighter than your skin tone highlight along the top of your cheek, under your eyebrow, over your chin and along and up the tip of your nose.

3. Take your gel eyeliner and using a angled brush fill in your eyebrows, making the edges as sharp as possible. Then draw a small cat eye flick on the top of your eyelid. Next take your pencil eyeliner and line the inside corner of your eye and your waterline.

4. Time for spots! Take your white pencil eyeliner and draw spots all over your face (simple really) i found it most effective to go in diagonal lines across starting at my chin. You can choose whether to stop at just your face or carry it on till the base of your neck.

5. Now we get artistic, using the blue from the water colour pencils, dip it into a cup of water and create a tear shape under one of your eyes, then outline with the gel eyeliner.

6. With the same gel eyeliner and angled brush draw on the lines - one on your jawline, one outlining your collarbone, one along your nose and one just at the crevice of your nose. Repeat this on the other side of your face.

7. Lips!!! Using a red lipstick fill in your lips then outline using the gel eyeliner and angled brush. If you want you can even add a whiter patch on your lips using the white eyeliner pencil. Now draw a black line with the gel eyeliner just inside your ear and finally stick on your false lashes following the instructions on the pack.

8. If your only working on your face your finished! but if not get hold of the yellow and red watercolor pencils, take the yellow and write 'pow' just below your collarbone - however do not do this in the mirror! Otherwise the words will be back to front (I found this out the hard way!)  Then go around the yellow 'pow' with the red, creating sharp points all around. Once again use the gel eyeliner to outline all of this including the word 'pow'.You could also put an exclamation mark at the end of this just for that extra touch.

And your finished! :D

Hope my instructions make sense! If not feel free to ask any questions in the comments :)

Hope you having a nice day and,

Cheetah Make up Tutorial

I was looking online for a simple tutorial for this cheetah make up look but couldn't find one, so i thought i would post one of my own :) All the products i used :
Maybelline New York dream sun bronzer in brunette,
Real techniques stippling brush,
Rimmel London 9 in 1 BB cream,
Maybelline eye eraser concealer,
Maybelline New York gel eyeliner in black,
Rimmel London Professional eyebrow pencil in brown,
Estee Lauders eye shadow brush,
Rimmel London Exaggerate waterproof eye liner pencil,
Rimmel London glam eyes eye shadow palette in 002.

1. Start by using a concealer and cover any dark circles or blemishes ( i'm using Maybellines eye eraser with my real techniques stippling brush) I went under my eyes, the tip of my nose till between my eyebrows and over my chin.

2. Now dot a BB cream all over your face and blend in, including the top of your neck. ( Real techniques stippling brush, Rimmel londons9 in 1 BB cream)

3. To highlight use a concealer which is lighter than your skin tone and place along the top of your jaw line, the whole of your nose and up to where your eyebrows meet, between your top lip and bottom of your nose and cover over your eyebrows - my eyebrows are very dark so you can still see them but if its possible try to make it so they are not visible. (lasting perfection concealer) Now you should look really pale but don't worry that's what the bronzers for!

3. For bronzer use a eyeshadow brush and shade in your jawline, just above your temples, under your jaw and along the sides of your nose carrying on to fill the whole lid of your eye, blending in any sharp edges.

4. Now taking a light brown eyeshadow shade in your whole eyelid up to your eyebrow, then taking a darker brown shade in just your eyelid and finally taking a dark brown/black eyeshadow colour shade in a triangle shape at the outer corner of your eyelid.

5. Next we are going to create the cheetahs spots. So using a brown eyebrow pencil create random dots and cheetah mark shapes all over your face. I think its most effective to put larger dots over your forehead and along your cheeks and smaller ones under your eyes and on your chin.

6.  Now back to the eyes, using a black eyeliner pencil create a large cat eye on top of your eye starting from just inside your nose and make sure the cate eye flick follows the eye shadow up. Also go under your eye create a very thick line connecting to the cat eye flick. If you want feel free to go over your cat eye with gel eyeliner to make it darker.

7. Going back to the spots, taking a gel black eyeliner and small angled brush go over the edges of the brown eyebrow pencil spots. However don't go around the whole spot only certain corners and outlines.

8. Using the same brush and gel eyeliner draw on the nose by creating two arch shapes and filling them in, then draw a line from the base of your nose to the top of your lips no bigger then your cupids bow and then fill in your lips black.

9. Finally the spots on the cheeks, simply take the same angled brush and gel eyeliner as before and make small circles shapes from your cupids bow outwards.

Thats it, hopefully my instructions make sense, i would also love to see your versions of this look. I think its perfect for any fancy dress do and would look so classy with a simple black dress and chunky heels with a crazy hair do. Please let me know your thoughts or any way i can improve my make up tutorials, many thanks  :)

Bandana crazy

Iam obsessed! Bandanas in my opinion are defiantly under rated, they come in every colour and design possible and make any simple hairstyle or bad hair day vibrant. I can no longer walk past a bandana in a shop without buying 5 of them. So i thought i would share with you my top 3 ways to wear a bandana (and they're not hard!)

1.  The Pin UP

This is a 50's classic and may quite daring but will guarantee some attention :)

First start of by separating your fringe from your main body of hair and clip away from face.

Now with the main part of your hair tie it into a low pony tail at the back of your head an using a large claw    hair grip sweep the pony tail up and clip firmly at the back of your head. Try make this as flat as possible      so it is possible for the bandana to cover it. Though dont worry about making it perfect as the bandana will    be covering it.

With your left over fringe, backcomb , only a little tease though just to give the hairstyle some volume.            Then clip your fringe firmly into your desired position, preferably to either side of your head.

Now time for the bandana, this is the tricky bit as it will need to be the right shape.  First fold the bandana      in half to create a triangle shape. Take the two equal ends and tie them together around the top of your          head. This will now leave you with one corner sticking out at the back of your head, take this corner and        fold it up and tuck it into the large claw grip ponytail bun thing (not entirely sure of its technical name) and      hold into place with bobby pins.

2. The Bandana Bun

This is extremely simple and a great way to keep your hair controlled on those bad hair days.

Before starting most looks i like to back comb all round my head to insure volume in my hair but this step      is optional.

starting with the bun, begin to tie your hair into a high ponytail however on the final loop only pull half of         your hair through. This loop in your hair will create your bun, take either side of the loop and pull up and       outwards causing the bun to start take place, keeping pulling a adjusting till your happy with it.

With the excess hair that didn't form the loop with should be underneath your bun roll it up so it just below     the bun and secure i place with a small claw grip. I find this gives the bun more height and makes the bun       more secure through out the day.

For the bandana, fold it in half to form a triangle and then starting at the non pointed end started rolling. It       should end up forming a long snake like shape. Getting your bandana into the right shape may take a few       times especially if the bandana is new.

Finally take either end of the bandana and tie around your head, double knotting slightly to the side on top     of your head.

3. The Basic

So easy, quick and a great way to keep hair out of your face.

This hair style can look great with any kind of hair type curly, straight, thick, thin and is so simple it takes        less then minutes to perfect!

Roll the bandana into a straight snake like shape and hold either end in each hand.

Flip your head upside down, make sure there are no stray hairs then place the middle of the bandana at the    nape of your neck. Now flip your head back up, bandana still in either hand collecting the hair between          them and tie a double now at the top of your head.

I also find if you have time just a quick tease with a comb to your fringe can make the look finished and         adds that just needed volume to finish the look.

I hope you try out these looks and love them as much as i do. I find they look lovely for everyday outfits whether your going out or staying in. I would also love to here any feedback or comments from you , so get your bandanas on and ready for the sunny whether.
