Iam obsessed! Bandanas in my opinion are defiantly under rated, they come in every colour and design possible and make any simple hairstyle or bad hair day vibrant. I can no longer walk past a bandana in a shop without buying 5 of them. So i thought i would share with you my top 3 ways to wear a bandana (and they're not hard!)

1. The Pin UP
This is a 50's classic and may quite daring but will guarantee some attention :)
First start of by separating your fringe from your main body of hair and clip away from face.
Now with the main part of your hair tie it into a low pony tail at the back of your head an using a large claw hair grip sweep the pony tail up and clip firmly at the back of your head. Try make this as flat as possible so it is possible for the bandana to cover it. Though dont worry about making it perfect as the bandana will be covering it.
With your left over fringe, backcomb , only a little tease though just to give the hairstyle some volume. Then clip your fringe firmly into your desired position, preferably to either side of your head.
Now time for the bandana, this is the tricky bit as it will need to be the right shape. First fold the bandana in half to create a triangle shape. Take the two equal ends and tie them together around the top of your head. This will now leave you with one corner sticking out at the back of your head, take this corner and fold it up and tuck it into the large claw grip ponytail bun thing (not entirely sure of its technical name) and hold into place with bobby pins.

2. The Bandana Bun
This is extremely simple and a great way to keep your hair controlled on those bad hair days.
Before starting most looks i like to back comb all round my head to insure volume in my hair but this step is optional.
starting with the bun, begin to tie your hair into a high ponytail however on the final loop only pull half of your hair through. This loop in your hair will create your bun, take either side of the loop and pull up and outwards causing the bun to start take place, keeping pulling a adjusting till your happy with it.
With the excess hair that didn't form the loop with should be underneath your bun roll it up so it just below the bun and secure i place with a small claw grip. I find this gives the bun more height and makes the bun more secure through out the day.
For the bandana, fold it in half to form a triangle and then starting at the non pointed end started rolling. It should end up forming a long snake like shape. Getting your bandana into the right shape may take a few times especially if the bandana is new.
Finally take either end of the bandana and tie around your head, double knotting slightly to the side on top of your head.

3. The Basic
So easy, quick and a great way to keep hair out of your face.
This hair style can look great with any kind of hair type curly, straight, thick, thin and is so simple it takes less then minutes to perfect!
Roll the bandana into a straight snake like shape and hold either end in each hand.
Flip your head upside down, make sure there are no stray hairs then place the middle of the bandana at the nape of your neck. Now flip your head back up, bandana still in either hand collecting the hair between them and tie a double now at the top of your head.
I also find if you have time just a quick tease with a comb to your fringe can make the look finished and adds that just needed volume to finish the look.
I hope you try out these looks and love them as much as i do. I find they look lovely for everyday outfits whether your going out or staying in. I would also love to here any feedback or comments from you , so get your bandanas on and ready for the sunny whether.
Make the most of life
